In contrast to the conventional March Madness basketball brackets, there were no “busted” brackets among those created by Hopewell ECS students this year. “That’s the best part. There were no wrong answers,” explained Hopewell counselor Aly McIntosh, who redesigned the school’s bracket-based career exploration project this year to personalize the experience for each Hopewell student.

This Friday, March 15th join Lakota LEADS and the Lakota community to celebrate Pi Day the best way we know how – with awesome hands-on STEAM activities!

The Regional Destination Imagination (DI) tournament was held on Saturday, March 2nd. Lakota has 13 teams with over 85 students participating in DI this year.

VanGorden's 5th grade gifted group has almost completed their gingerbread village project in which they practiced finding the area, surface area, and volume of structures, all while using precise metric measurements to the nearest tenth of a centimeter!

A valuable resource for planning summer activities and beyond is published each year by the Gifted staff at HCESC.

The application for Early Entrance to Kindergarten and first grade for the 2024-25 school year opens 2/1/24.

Shout out to Lorelai at VanGorden Elementary!

Out of 658 third graders in the state of Ohio who competed in the Noetic Learning Math Contest in November, Lorelai scored FIRST PLACE in the whole state!

Lots of exhibitors and lots of hands-on fun! Join Lakota LEADS for a full evening of fun at this year's Pi Day happening March 15 from 6:30 - 9 p.m. at Lakota East High School. There will be many STEAM based hands-on activities that will entertain your K-8 students!
