Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

By this time of the year, we have welcomed many new families to our Hero community, and there's no better time than now to revisit some of our arrival and dismissal procedures in the carline!

Cars should enter the line from Hopewell Junior's drive and follow the access road behind the building.  We have a single staff member entering car numbers throughout the line, and attempting to enter from Barrett Road during these times will cause your car number to not be entered.  This will result in having to re-enter the line from Hopewell Junior. 

During arrival, staff members must return to their classrooms to begin their daily routines at 9:15.  Therefore, any car pulling up to the front doors after this time will be asked to bring their child into the office.

At dismissal, staff members will be out in the line recording numbers.  Please have them visible in your car window.  Car numbers will be entered from 3:40 - 4:05. Those cars entering the line beyond 4:05 will follow the line to the front drive where they can pick up their child by entering the office.  

 If you need a new card with car numbers, please call the office and arrange to pick it up before 3:30.
